Belshaw

Are you a university student or graduate interested in surveying?

This is an opportunity to undertake a two-week work experience placement (your travel and lunch will be paid for by us) during the summer period with a bespoke building and project consultancy based in London called Belshaw.

They are a small specialist team of approximately 20 professionals and operate across three main pillars: Projects, Surveys, and Monitoring, working with prestigious clients such as the Crown Estate and Grosvenor Estate.

Why join the Work Experience Programme?

  • You will see real building projects and consultative work, not just shadowing.
  • You will work alongside directors and senior staff, with opportunities for coaching and feedback.
  • You will engage in site visits, surveys, client meetings and more.
  • Understand how a smaller consultancy operates – the challenges, the rewards, how decisions are made, and how value is created.
  • Even in a short time you can contribute, see how your work ties into real outcomes, and understand how sustainability, ethics, and business goals intersect in the construction environment.
  • From us at The Land Collective, you will receive a financial stipend before your placement to ensure that you’re not out of pocket and you will have two pre-placement workshops to prepare you for the placement.

If you’re interested, please apply below with the following:

  • Your CV;
  • In your cover letter, please add your term dates (exact dates you can undertake this experience from May onwards) and why you’re interested in this area of surveying and the company – we recommend taking the time to research them online and on socials.

If shortlisted, the next step will be a call with the team.
