Our mentoring programme connects ambitious students and young professionals with experienced mentors across real estate, construction, and the built environment. Every match is intentional, pairing passion with lived experience to create conversations that inspire confidence, direction, and belonging.
Our programme is built solely around the real estate and built environment sector. We understand the sub-sectors, roles, and pathways - ensuring every pairing makes sense for both mentor and mentee.
Each participant completes an Industry Interest Profile, identifying motivations, values, and goals. We then match them using our Mentor Archetypes model balancing experience level, communication style, and professional background.
Mentors receive onboarding, resources, and reflection prompts to guide conversations and track progress. Mentees receive pre-programme preparation covering professionalism, goal-setting, and accountability.
We stay connected beyond the formal six-month cycle. Through check-ins, community events, and alumni connections, participants continue to build networks and confidence long after the programme ends.
Our mentors represent leading organisations across the built environment, from real estate and construction to architecture, the public sector and more.
If you’re a student, graduate, or industry professional who wants to take part, you have to fill out an application.
Mentees complete a short Industry Interest Profile to help us understand their goals, interests, and areas of focus across the built environment. Mentors share their experience, areas of expertise, and what they hope to offer. We review all applications carefully before confirming places.
Our team matches mentors and mentees based on sector interest, goals, and working style. This isn’t a random process, we use a practical framework that we developed to make sure conversations feel relevant and rewarding for both sides. Everyone receives onboarding and guidance before their first meeting so expectations are clear.
Pairs meet around once a month for six months, either in person or online. We provide structure through session guides, reflection prompts, and monthly check-ins. Our team stays close throughout to ensure progress, balance, and a positive experience for everyone involved.
At the end of the programme, both mentors and mentees reflect on what’s changed – confidence, skills, career direction, and next steps. Participants receive a certificate of completion and access to ongoing opportunities through The Land Collective network. Employers who’ve supported mentors receive a concise impact summary highlighting outcomes and feedback.
When the formal mentoring ends, the connections don’t! Graduates of the programme, both mentors and mentees are invited to join our alumni network, with access to events, peer support, and future opportunities to mentor the next cohort.
If your company wants to play a bigger role, we can work with you to build a dedicated mentoring cohort connected to your team. It’s a simple way to get colleagues involved as mentors while helping us grow the programme and reach more young people with a genuine interest in the built environment.
Your mentors will start their journeys at the same time, supported by our onboarding and guidance. Throughout the cohort, they’ll have space to share what they’re learning, compare experiences, and reflect on how mentoring shapes their own leadership and perspective on social mobility.
It’s an easy, meaningful way to bring your values to life, connect with emerging talent, and strengthen your team culture in the process.
If you’d like to explore this, get in touch below and we’ll tailor the format around your people, time, and priorities.
