We’re delighted to have you join our mentoring programme! This programme is designed to build meaningful, human connections between emerging talent and professionals across the built environment sector. Whether you’re here as a mentor or mentee, your participation represents a shared commitment to learning, growth, and opening doors for the next generation of leaders.
We’ve seen how much difference a single conversation can make. Many of the young people in our community are the first in their families to enter a professional career. Mentoring provides them with guidance, perspective, and confidence that can shape their long-term success. Equally, mentors gain a renewed sense of purpose, awareness, and insight into the next wave of industry talent.
What to Expect #
The mentoring relationship is flexible but intentional. You’ll meet regularly (virtually or in-person) to discuss professional development, career goals, and personal growth.
Here’s what you can expect across the pilot:
-
Ongoing mentoring support and guidance;
-
1-2 meetings per month (you can agree on what works best);
-
Access to a dedicated knowledge base with guidance, tools, and templates;
-
Check-ins from The Land Collective team to ensure things are going smoothly.
Our Mentoring Values #
The programme is built around five principles that guide every interaction:
-
Trust: The foundation of every meaningful mentoring relationship.
-
Respect: Both mentor and mentee bring valuable experience to the table.
-
Curiosity: Openness to learning from one another, regardless of background or career stage.
-
Commitment: Showing up – consistently, prepared, and engaged.
-
Empowerment: Helping each other make informed choices and take ownership of growth.
